As the holiday celebrations are upon us, I think about it being a time of reflection and gratitude, time spent with loved ones, laughter, baking and decorating. This time of year is often very challenging and sometimes lonely for people as we never know what goes on in people’s lives.
Being so busy we tend to lose sight on what the holidays truly mean and we don’t give ourselves the opportunity to give thought and intention as to what we want to do to enjoy the holidays on our own terms.
Holidays can provide us with a variety of levels of depth and meaning from family, friends, health, and purpose. There’s something deeply meaningful for almost everyone.
Every holiday can have a different meaning, not just the meaning you gave it as a child. By connecting to what this particular holiday means to you personally, your celebration can itself be deeper and more meaningful.
